The Luckiest And Unluckiest Powerball Numbers

The Luckiest And Unluckiest Powerball Numbers
Fact Checked by Jim Tomlin

The luckiest day of the year arrives on Sunday as America celebrates St. Patrick’s Day. In addition to placing wagers at the best US sports betting sites, many people will seek ways to find the proverbial pot of gold in the form of a lottery jackpot in the coming days across America.

Specifically, the Powerball jackpot. On Saturday, there will be another Powerball drawing with a jackpot of at least $600 million to anybody who can correctly pick five numbers from 1 to 69, plus a Powerball number from 1 to 26.

The next winner or winners of a big Powerball jackpot are going to see their fortunes improve overnight, with six ping-pong balls serving as the difference between the status quo and lifetime wealth.

USBettingReport.com, where we review mobile sports betting apps, brings you data from the Powerball Media Center website to compile the luckiest and unluckiest Powerball numbers since March 8, 2023. Powerball numbers go from 1 to 26 and, in the past year, every number has been selected at least once.

Which Powerball Numbers Are Lucky, Or Not?

For those looking to make a fortune out of Powerball jackpots, the ball drawn most often in the past 52-plus weeks is number four. The No. 4 ball has been selected 14 times in total since March 8, 2023, and was the Powerball in the last drawing on March 13 (nobody hit the big jackpot). That number is followed by 14 (drawn 12 times), 5, 18 and 21 (nine times each), 1 (eight times), then 3 and 25 (seven times each).

Conversely, the least lucky numbers to choose from based on the ones that have gotten picked over the last calendar year are 15 (picked once), 22 (drawn twice), 10 and 17 (three times each), then 16 and 24 (four times each).

In legal online sports betting terms, No. 4 would be a favorite based on recent trends and No. 15 would be considered an underdog (of course Powerball drawings are random so trends can change).

One way or another, some lucky American is going to hear six numbers that are perfectly aligned to win them a full jackpot amount in the coming days and weeks, with a lifetime of money delivered by the semiweekly Powerball lottery.
